Applied Knowledge
Applied Knowledge consists of the following papers:
- Business and Technology (BT) : BT aims to enhance understanding of the business environment, its impact on organizations and accountants, and the role of accountants in efficient, effective, and ethical organizations. It forms the basis for professional level papers Professional Accountant and Business Analysis, covering business organization structure, governance, and management.
- Management Accounting (MA) : MA focuses on cost and management accounting, cost classification, business mathematics, computer spreadsheets, cost accounting techniques, budgeting, standard costing, and short-term decision-making techniques, laying the foundation for PM, FM, and ATX-UK.
- Financial Accounting (FA) : This course focuses on understanding financial accounting principles, concepts, and regulations, including double-entry accounting techniques and basic financial statement preparation. It is essential for papers FR and SBR Financial Reporting, covering context, purpose, qualitative financial information, and accounting systems.
Applied Skills
Applied Skills consists of the following papers:
- Corporate and Business Law (CL): This law paper is crucial for Financial Reporting and Audit and Assurance, focusing on legal systems, obligations, employment law, company formation, capital financing, company management, crisis legal implications, and governance and ethical issues in business.
- Performance Management (PM): This course focuses on developing skills in applying management accounting techniques to quantitative and qualitative information for planning, decision-making, performance evaluation, and control.
- Taxation(TX-UK): The course aims to enhance understanding and skills in the Czech tax system, including individual, corporate, social security contributions, VAT, and taxpayer obligations.
- Financial Reporting (FR): This course focuses on understanding accounting standards, theoretical frameworks, financial statements, business combinations, and analyzing and interpreting financial statements, including conceptual, regulatory, and business combinations.
- Audit and Assurance (AA): This course focuses on developing knowledge and skills in assurance engagement and its application within the professional regulatory framework, covering topics such as audit framework, regulation, planning, risk assessment, internal control, audit evidence, review, and reporting.
- Financial Management (FM): This course focuses on developing knowledge and skills in assurance engagement and its application within the professional regulatory framework, covering topics such as audit framework, regulation, planning, risk assessment, internal control, audit evidence, review, and reporting.
Strategic Professional
Strategic Professional comprises two modules: Essentials and Options, designed to build on technical skills and explore advanced professional skills for senior accountants in advisory or consultancy roles. Both modules have been set at an intellectual level equivalent to that expected of a student taking a Masters degree Students must complete two Essentials papers and four Options papers, which assess advanced techniques for specific work areas or career pathways. Students select two out of four Option papers relating to their chosen field of work.
Essential Papers for Strategic Professional Level:
- Strategic Business Leader (SBL): The Strategic Business Leader (SBL) paper by ACCA is a comprehensive examination that combines technical expertise, ethical awareness, and professional skills with real-world case studies. It challenges students to think strategically, analyze complex business scenarios, and apply integrated thinking, preparing them for effective leadership.

- Advanced Taxation (ATX-UK): Focuses on advanced UK taxation issues, including tax planning, compliance, and ethical considerations. Students can expect to navigate intricate tax regulations, mastering the skills needed to provide strategic tax advice and ensure compliance with the UK tax system.
- Advanced Audit and Assurance (AAA): Explores advanced auditing and assurance concepts, including risk assessment, audit evidence, and professional skepticism. Students can expect to analyze complex audit scenarios, developing the skills needed to provide high-quality assurance services and make informed recommendations to enhance the quality of financial reporting.
Rules and conditions to be followed to undergo the ACCA papers:
➠ A maximum of four papers can be taken in one sitting.
➠ Papers from different levels may be taken simultaneously.
➠ The pass mark for all examinations is set at 50%.
➠ Papers within a module may be taken in any order, offering flexibility.
